Ms Josie Yan 颜朝霞老师 currently teaches at Newcastle Grammar School. She has been working in NSW as a Chinese teacher for over 20 years. She has taught both primary school and secondary school students. Josie has taught all stages and has experience in teaching HSC Chinese Beginners, Chinese Continuers, Chinese Extension, Chinese In Context and Chinese and Literature. She has supervised two students participated in the 15th and 17th Chinese Bridge Speaking competition and both achieved 2nd prize and became top 15 of the world. Other than teaching students Mandarin, Josie has included many cultural activities in her teaching to

supplement Chinese language learning. She has worked closely with CBT, Sino Field and HSK and organised incursions and excursions to promote Chinese language and culture.
